Free NDHCE practice questions

One hundred original questions, with the answer and a rationale for every option. Same starter set as a free DHPrep account. Not official exam items.

The starter set is 75 standalone questions and 25 questions attached to five case profiles. It is the only free NDHCE selection. The diagnostic and the timed demonstration draw from these same 100 questions. A pass is what opens the rest of the published bank.

The counts follow the blueprint DHPrep builds against. Clinical therapy is 40. Prevention, education, and health promotion is 20. Collaboration is 14. Professionalism and practice management are 8 each. Evidence-informed practice and communication are 5 each. On the exam, a domain is a range of the scored paper, not a fixed percentage of every form. Those ranges are on each domain page and in the table below.

Answer the question before you read the rationale. Then read why the keyed option fits and why each other option fails. The decision rule under the item is the line worth keeping. For the review method in full, see how to use NDHCE practice questions. For what the exam itself is, see what the NDHCE covers.

Frequently asked questions

Are these official NDHCE questions?

No. They are original DHPrep questions written to the published NDHCE blueprint. The Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada does not write, endorse, or release these items. Use them beside the official candidate guide and your coursework.

How many free NDHCE questions does DHPrep provide?

One hundred. That is the fixed starter selection: 75 standalone questions and 25 questions across five case profiles. The free diagnostic and the timed demonstration draw from this same set. DHPrep does not offer a second, larger free bank.

Can I read the answers without creating an account?

Yes. Each domain page shows the question, the options, the correct option, and a rationale for every option. An account adds notes, bookmarks, and timed practice for this same set. A pass is what unlocks the rest of the published bank.

Why are the questions split by domain instead of one long list?

The NDHCE scores by domain, and the starter set follows that shape. Clinical therapy is 40 of the 100 questions. Evidence-informed practice and communication are 5 each. Studying one domain at a time makes the decision rule easier to keep. The counts on this page are the whole free set, not a sample.
